ACTION ALERT! Tell your U.S. Representative to Strike Pesticide Immunity and EATS Act from the Farm Bill!Â

Floor debate on the House version of the 2026 Farm Bill begins Monday, April 27. We must immediately act to remove two harmful provisions.
Â
EATS ACT THREAT: The EATS Act (renamed Save Our Bacon) would nullify California Proposition 12. It would:
Financially penalize farmers who adapted to Prop 12 animal welfare standards
Negatively impact independent farmers who now benefit from access to a broader market.
Nullify about 1100 agriculture laws that protect people. The weakest laws in the nation would be the standard for everyone. Â
Â
PESTICIDE IMMUNITY THREAT:Â Legislators must remove three harmful sections that would:
Shield chemical companies from lawsuits for failing to warn about harmful pesticide effects
Prevent state governments from passing stronger pesticide laws than the federal government.
Exempt pesticides from permitting and approval requirements that protect waterways and the environment.
Â
In a state that ranks #2 for cancer, Iowa representatives should do everything in their power to protect their constituents, not further threaten them.
