Action Alert - Tell the House to Vote NO on HF 987 on Anaerobic Digesters

​​​Anaerobic digesters are touted as a climate-smart solution for CAFO manure. But the fact is digesters are very expensive to build and require large-scale CAFO development to be cost-effective.
HF 987, which would encourage the development of more anaerobic digesters in Iowa, is a poorly written bill that would not properly protect waterways nor public health.
With over 13,000 factory farms, Iowa doesn’t need more CAFOs, and we don’t need more anaerobic digesters encouraging more CAFO development. CAFOs are NOT climate smart.
