Voluntarily Polluting Our Water
Water pollution is in the news this summer. High nitrate levels are affecting drinking water in Central Iowa, a new Polk County water quality report links 80% of nitrate pollution to agriculture, and too many beaches are unswimmable just when we need to cool off in this blistering heat.
Given all that, I thought this is a good time to spotlight some of the ways I see Iowa's state government failing us.
