Animal Feeding Operation Special Study
The DNR has begun a field study of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia concentrations near large animal feeding operations. Field personel are also collecting odor data near animal feeding facilities and fields where manure was recently applied, as well as public areas and residences where complaints have been received. Interim study results can be viewed here.
